How can I find my first tweet?

You could just scroll back

The simplest method would be just to go on your profile and keep scrolling back. However, if you’re like me with thousands of tweets than that can be quite time-consuming.

To save time, let’s get the exact date

While your Twitter profile has the month and year, you can go into your account settings to get the exact time you joined.

In “Your Twitter Data” you’ll see a button named “Account” right at the top. Once clicked you’ll be prompted for your password. But after that, you’re in

There you’ll get the exact date and time you joined Twitter

Now let’s take that info and find your last tweet

You first want to open up Twitter advanced search. Once open you want to keep scrolling down. You’ll see a lot of options you can ignore most of them but two

  1. From these accounts

This will narrow down your search to just your tweets which is exactly what we want to find.

2 Dates

You’ll have to keep searching a bit on this method as you may not have tweeted as soon as you started the account. Unless you jumped right in you could have been a reader before a contributor.

But staying within Twitter and not allowing third-party access to the account this would be my way to go to find your first tweet.

And there you have it, my first tweet

I hope you found this answer helpful. If you have a public account I wouldn’t mind reading your first tweet if you link it in the comments. If you’re reading this give it a go and let me know what was your first tweet?
